Meet Gina Smith

Hi!  I am the creator of Livin’ The Smith Life! I love to travel but don’t get to as much as I would like. Eventually, I hope to be able to travel more. Because I don’t like the cold and snow, I’m looking to move to Florida sometime in the near future. That is my biggest dream. Eventually, I’d like to visit all 50 states and I’d also like to do some travelling outside of the US. I want to visit Ireland, Italy, Bulgaria, Finland, France and China.

I love being able to do things with the kids and wish we had more time to spend together. My favorite animals are cats, turtles and dolphins. I like to read, mostly Christian Fiction or History, and I love to write. If I get in the right mood and find an interesting subject, I can write for hours before taking a break. Sometimes, I will get so engrossed in my writing that 3 to 4 hours will have passed without me realizing it!  

Meet Sean Smith

Sean isn’t home much through the week. He prefers to be working. When he is home though, we take full advantage of the time we have with him.  He is more of a homebody, so it takes some encouragement to convince him to travel with us.

He’s more content relaxing on the couch with a book, watching sports or streaming shows. His favorite football team is the Washington Commanders and his favorite baseball team is the Atlanta Braves. He likes to read Westerns and his favorite author is William Johnstone.

Meet Hailie Newman

Hailie is my oldest child.  She is now 17. She has grown into such an amazing young lady. 

Hailie loves cats and loves to sing. She sings in her school chorus and would love to sing professionally one day. She has also discovered a love for graphic design and would like to learn more about it. She has a couple of cats and a bearded dragon. Her favorite card game is UNO. Her favorite sports are volleyball and softball. She has played softball since she was 4.  Her favorite baseball team is the Reds. She also likes to collect different things. 

If she could get away with it, she would eat pizza and spaghetti all day, every day.  She loves playing Roblox on the computer with her friends and family. She also loves to travel and hopes to visit different places. I think at the top of her list are Wisconsin and Texas.  Like me though, her favorite state is Florida. She loves spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite school subjects are chorus, science and Media Arts. She also has an interest in weather.

Meet Lorianna Newman

Lorianna is 15 years old and is very outgoing.  Her nickname is Sunshine because her smile can light up a room.  She is always cheerful and can put a smile on anyone’s face.  She will make friends with everyone she meets. 

She likes watching football and baseball with her dad. Her favorite football team is the Cincinnati Bengals and her favorite baseball team is the Tampa Bay Rays. She is epileptic but that doesn’t stop her from doing anything she wants.  She loves to hang out with her friends. She also loves to travel and Gatlinburg, TN is one of her favorite destinations (truthfully she’s happy anywhere she can play in the pool).

She loves to help others.  She also loves to help cook and bake and has decided to go into culinary for a career. Every time she goes to her grandmothers house, she wants to make cookies or chocolate cake. Her favorite foods are tacos, quesadillas and anything cheese.  Her favorite animals are llamas and monkeys.  She has a bearded dragon that she’s learning to care for. She loves playing Roblox with her sisters and her favorite game in Roblox is Adopt Me.

Meet Leslie Smith

My youngest daughter, Leslie, is 12 years old. She’s very outgoing and loves music, plays the flute and sings. She is currently learning to speak Bulgarian and Spanish and wants to visit Bulgaria one day. 

Martial arts is a big part of her life and she’s learning Shaolin Kung Fu, Kyuki-do and Jiu-Jitsu. Her favorite sports are track and soccer. You will often find her hanging out with her friends.  Her favorite Roblox game is Adopt Me.

She has 2 dogs and a snake and her favorite animal is dolphins. Leslie wants to be a marine biologist and work with dolphins. Truthfully, she loves all things aquatic. She plans on moving to Florida where she hopes to work at Clearwater Marine Aquarium. She would live in the water if she could. Leslie loves God with her heart and soul and will talk about God’s love any time she can.

Meet Kyle Smith

Kyle is 9 years old.  Like Leslie, he is a little daredevil and seems to enjoy trying to find new ways to get hurt.  Quite frequently, you’ll find him climbing, hanging or jumping off something.  Like most kids his age, he has a lot of different interests.  Currently, his favorite animal is snakes. He likes green tree pythons and hognoses best.

Kyle has also taken an interest in RVs and will take every opportunity to look at them.  One day he wants to live in an RV.  He also likes lawn mowers, leaf blowers and weed eaters. He loves it when I take him to the airport to watch planes come in and take off.

Kyle takes Shaolin Kung Fu with us and his goal is to become a black belt.  On any given day, you might find him watching YouTube videos or “Counting Cars”, playing with friends around the neighborhood, building with bricks and rocks or playing Roblox with his sisters.
