Bucket Travel Wishlist for 2021 (and beyond)

With coronavirus running rampant right now, all 2020 travel plans have been put on hold.  There are hopes, however, of being able to plan a couple trips for 2021, at least that’s my current plan.  So where are some of the places that I would like to travel in the near future?

  1. Florida
Even though I’ve only been there one time, my new favorite travel destination has become Florida. With the sunshine, warmth and beaches, who wouldn’t love such a lovely state? The places in Florida I’d love to visit are Cocoa Beach, Clearwater/St Pete, Destin, Naples and Tallahassee.  Or anywhere that Leslie can see her precious dolphins.
  2. Indiana
I definitely want to go back to Indianapolis in the near future to visit the zoo again.  It was the best zoo I’ve been to.  I’d also like to make a trip Indianapolis Motor Speedway at least once.
  3. Wisconsin
I spent a couple years in Wisconsin and wouldn’t mind going back to visit.  Plus, Hailie has family there who I’m sure would love to see her again.  I would love to visit Wisconsin Dells at some point.
  4. South Carolina
It has been many, many years since I’ve been to Myrtle Beach.  I would love to go back to visit, just because I have memories of the amazing trips there as a kid.  I’d also like to visit Hilton Head again.  Not been there since I was 12 years old.
  5. Texas
I’ve been to Texas a few times in my life and never had a bad experience there.  The kids would love San Antonio and there is so much history there.  The Alamo was definitely one of my favorite places in San Antonio and I would love to be able to share my memories with my kids so they can have great memories too.
  6. Virginia
Another of the places that I’ve lived, Virginia Beach would be a great vacation spot.  Even though I wouldn’t really want to live there again, I certainly wouldn’t mind visiting for a few days.  Yes I love beaches.
  7. Pennsylvania
Some where I’ve never been, but I’ve always been curious about, Pennsylvania is one of those destinations and I would love to visit at least once in my lifetime.
  8. New York
I would love to take my kids to New York just for the experience.  I was there once when I was 12 and have amazing memories that I will cherish my whole life.
  9. Washington DC
Again, just because I want the kids to have the experience, and visit the White House and all the history surrounding it.  Another of those experiences that I cherish and would love to share with my kids.
  10. Missouri
St Louis is another place that I’ve never been that I would love to visit.  It’s just one of those places that I’ve heard people talk about a lot and would love to visit out of curiosity.

Now that you know some of the places that I would like to visit, what are some of your favorite destinations or some places that you would love to visit at least once and why?  What are some of the things you look for in places you like to visit?
