Favorite Bloggers: Edition 1

Recently, I’ve been reading other peoples blogs as much as I’ve been working on my own!  Honestly, there are a lot of bloggers out there who are much better than I am.  A lot of that comes from experience.  I hope to one day be in that league, however, for the moment, I’m still new to then blogging scene and learning more daily.  I’ve been making lists (yes, if you know me, you know I love my lists) of my favorite bloggers.

So, I’m going to start a series on favorite bloggers.  I’m not yet sure how frequently I will be putting these out (weekly?  monthly?) yet, but this will be a continuing series over an extended period of time.  I will introduce the blogger, why I like their blog and provide a link to their blog so that other’s can get enjoyment out of it!  If you have any favorites you would like for me to check out, please let me know!  And now Favorite Bloggers: Edition 1:

1. Wanderlust with the DeVaulls – withthedevaulls.com

This was one of the very first blogs I read, and one of my first followers when I first started blogging.  This is a travel and lifestyle blog.  They are an American family living and exploring England, blogging about their time there and their experiences as well as the adjustment to British lifestyle, culture and language.  Yes, even though they speak English in England, it is quite different than American English.  One of the reasons that this blog stands out to me is because my Grandmother grew up in England (she was a child there during WWII) and I have family there as well.  I have visited England 3 times when I was a child, and love the culture there.  Sometimes I wish that we could move to England, but I know that’s not possible, however, I do hope to be able to take my kids there one day to meet our family overseas.  Their twitter account is https://twitter.com/WithTheDeVaulls

2. Been There With Kids – beentherewithkids.com

This was also one of my first followers, as well as another one of the first blogs that I discovered.  They are a family of 5, running a travel blog and happen to live in the same great state that we live in.  They have been working to declutter their life and towards being debt free, so that they can focus on long-term travel. If you haven’t discovered this blog, you really should.  You can find them on twitter at https://twitter.com/CrystalsTravels

3. Artsy Draft by Vinny – artsydraft.com

Vinny has just recently become self hosted and blogs mostly about books and movies.  I met her about 2 to 3 months into my own blogging journey and have enjoyed reading her blog.  I can’t relate to what she writes about too much, however, she’s an amazing blogger and I enjoy reading it anyway.  I know that she would love for your to check out her site.  You can also find her on Twitter at https://twitter.com/artsydraft.

4.Our Carpe Diem – https://ourcarpediem.com/

This is another amazing travel blog! The author of Our Carpe Diem is Dutch and moved to the US years ago to work for IBM.  She has been diagnosed with MS recently and is in the process of getting used to that diagnosis and writes about that as well.  She also writes about money management.  I enjoy reading her posts!  She can be found on twitter at https://twitter.com/OurCarpeDiem.

5. In The Thick Of It – https://www.inthethickofitblog.com/

Sharon runs the blog In The Thick Of It.  She blogs about LIFE topics, Learning, Inspiring, Feeling Fit and Evolving as a person.  She is a very kind and thoughtful person and I love getting to know Sharon. She also likes to read and likes attending sporting events.  She is an all around amazing person and you have got to check out her blog.  Many of her posts are so inspirational!  You can find her on twitter at https://twitter.com/ittoiblog.

6. Debt & Cupcakes – https://debtandcupcakes.com/

This is a newer blog that I’ve just started following.  If you can’t guess from the title, they write about debt…and cupcakes!  I found it interesting that they followed Dave Ramsey, just like we do.  They have taken Dave Ramsey’s baby steps and made them fit into their lives, paying off all their debt and now working toward financial independence.  I applaud them for their journey and hope you take the time to check out their site and visit them on twitter: https://twitter.com/DebtandCupcakes.

7. The Four Seasons Of Us – https://thefourseasonsofus.com/

Another travel blog, I’ve followed Dana since I started blogging.  She also writes about family life and I love reading her posts.  She’s an inspiration to me and you should also check her out!  They can be found on Twitter at https://twitter.com/4seasonsofus

8. Let’s Go Somewhere McKinny – letsgosomewheremckinney.com

A lifestyle and travel blog that I’ve been following for a couple months, Dan and Lisa are baseball and softball coaches who love to travel.  I love to read about their experiences. They can be found on Twitter at https://twitter.com/LGSomewhereMcK.

9. Exploring New Sights – https://exploringnewsights.com/

This is a new blog.  This couple decided, after living in a one bedroom apartment, that they were not ready to settle and put down roots.  So they purchased a truck and an RV and turned their dream into a plan. Having just purchased their RV, they haven’t hit the road yet, but I can’t wait to read more of their incredible story as they save up some money and get ready to hit the road!  They can be found on twitter at https://twitter.com/Explrenewsights.  Don’t miss their amazing journey!

10. Garden of Aquarius – https://gardenofaquarius.com/

Another new blog, Garden of Aquarius is a lifestyle blog.  I’ve enjoyed exploring their blog and can’t wait to see more.  Make sure you connect with them on twitter at https://twitter.com/aquarius_garden.
