Yesterday was Kyle’s 5th birthday. I don’t know where the first 4 years went. The time seems to have gone so fast. It seems like the older the kids get, the faster time goes. He woke up in the morning in a good mood and we immediately told him happy birthday. We spent most of the morning cleaning, like any Sunday morning. Then we took the kids outside to play and Kyle got to open his presents from us. He was so happy with the sharks and tablet. The tablet was his favorite thing. He spent at least an hour playing with the sharks and shark truck, then started installing the games he likes to play on the tablet, of course Roblox was the fist thing he put on there. Then mid afternoon, we went over to my grandmother’s house for cupcakes and more presents.

There he got a bunch of cars and a dinosaur robot that he and Leslie played with together. He loved the time spent at grandma’s house. Leslie also got her birthday gift from grandma, since she’s going to be busy next weekend and may not get to see Leslie. Leslie got a book and a succulent in a snail pot, which she loved. She can’t wait to make a place for it in her room. Leslie sure loves her plants.

When we left Grandma’s house, we stopped at Shoe Carnival to get Hailie and Lorianna some new shoes. Lorianna chose a pair of Fila CoolMax shoes in size 6. Hailie chose Sketchers that have cats on them, but they didn’t have her size (she wears a womans 11) in stock, so we had to order them. They should be here on Tuesday or Wednesday, so pictures will come then.

After leaving Shoe Carnival, we went over to Sean’s sister’s house. They were doing the draft for Fantasy Football, and had family there that we don’t get to see as often as we would like, so we hung out there for the rest of the day. Kyle got a NERF gun from his Uncle and Aunt and the kids all had so much fun playing together. It was nice to be able to relax and visit with family for the evening and we were so happy to visit with family that we maybe get to see once or twice a year. Maybe next time, we can have a full family get together.
