If you are taking a trip to Indianapolis, IN soon, this is the place to stay.  It’s fairly easy to get to and not too far from the Indy Zoo, which was a plus for us.  While we were there, the hotel was under construction, so we couldn’t see the lobby since they had it blocked off.  Maybe in the future when they are done, we will be able to go back and see it.  The clerk at the front desk was friendly and pleasant as she checked us in.

Our room was on the 4th floor so we took the elevator up.  When we walked in, the room was clean and spacious.  With 4 kids, there always needs to be enough space for them to be able to play.  We had the two queen bed suite, which is two rooms and includes a couch with a pull out bed in the 2nd room.  There is plenty of room for 2 adults and 4 kids. There were also two TV’s in there, one in each room.  One of the TV’s didn’t work while we were there, but that wasn’t a problem because the girls wanted to watch Netflix on the computer anyway, so we didn’t worry about it that evening and I informed them when I checked out so that they could fix the problem, hopefully before the next guests arrive.

When we got to the room, the kids immediately took over and starting decorating, putting stuffed toys around the room.  Hailie put her blanket in the second room where she was going to sleep that night.  The desk chair was Kyle’s favorite perch and he sat and colored while we settled in.

We have been to places in the past where we can’t get the fridge to work right or they have it turned down low and it takes forever to get up to a temperature cool enough to keep perishables cold.  This fridge was already the right temperature and ready for our food.  Since it was a mini fridge, it didn’t hold a lot, but there was just enough room for the stuff we brought with us.

It was nice that the room had 2 bathrooms, with 6 people, an extra bathroom is always useful.  The bathrooms were clean and bright.  They were spacious and modern, not cramped like bathrooms sometimes seem to be.

The beds were comfortable and soft. They were spacious and the sheets and blankets were big enough to cover everyone in the bed.  Both of the queen size beds had 3 pillows on them.  The pullout couch was easy to figure out and the mattress on it seemed to be comfortable enough for Hailie and and Lorianna.  They seemed to sleep well all night.  There were blankets and pillows in the closet for the pullout, but Hailie had her own blanket and pillow so we only used one of the pillows from the closet.

The room was cool when we walked in.  We didn’t hear noises from the rooms around us.  There were two elevators in the hotel, which made it easy to get around.  There were ice machines on each floor and they were visible, so we didn’t have to go searching for ice.  There was a small workout room on the first floor.  The hotel also had an outdoor pool, but it was closed for the season.

Around the hotel, there were plenty of places to eat and Walmart and Kroger were both close as well.  Even though it was right off the interstate, we didn’t hear a lot of traffic noise.

The hotel breakfast was plentiful, hot and fresh.  There was cereal, waffles, toast, bagels, sausage, eggs, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, fruit, yogurt, juices, coffee, hot tea, really anything you might want.  The breakfast room had plenty of tables to sit at and was clean and well lit.  The attendant was on top of everything and courteous.

The checkout process was quick and easy.  The employees at the desk were courteous and professional.  We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend La Quinta South in Indianapolis to anyone traveling.

I asked the kids to express their thoughts about the hotel.
Hailie:  I want to go back because it was nice and the beds were so comfortable.
Leslie: It was awesome and they had a fantastic breakfast!  Hailie and Lorianna had a milk that they didn’t like, but I thought it was fine.  Hailie and Lorianna slept together and Kyle and I slept together.  It was so comfortable!  I definitely want to go again soon.
