Spring Break 2022 Bucket List

Even though it’s still months away, I’ve already started planning for Spring Break 2022!  This includes deciding where we are going and what we are hoping to do while there.  We have already decided that we are going to Louisiana for Spring Break and we are lucky that we will be able to stay with family in Shreveport.  So since that decision is made, now we get to start researching what’s around there that we can see and do.  I was very young last time I was in Louisiana, so this is going to be a new trip for me as well, and one that I’m really looking forward to.  This is my current bucket list for Spring Break 2022 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

  1. The Shreveport Aquarium
This newer aquarium, that opened in 2017 boasts about its interactive experiences and I can’t wait for Leslie to be able to get up close and personal with more hands on interaction with some of her favorite marine life while being able to learn even more about them.  Only downside, no dolphins.  But she will see dolphins in the summer hopefully.
  2. Explore the Asian Gardens of Shreveport
This is described as a “lush oasis” full of beautiful gardens.
  3. Family Time!
We will be spending time with family that we hardly ever get to see!
  4. Gators and Friends
This exotic animal petting zoo and adventure park would be the perfect addition to a fun-filled week!  It currently shows that the Go-Karting is closed (probably due to COVID), but the kids would love to check it out and maybe learn something new about gators.
  5. Sci-Port Discovery Center
The Sci-Port Discovery Center says it provides a fun, educational environment for people of all ages to explore and actively engage in the world of mathematics, science and technology.  I have two kids who love science.  I hope that there are things here that they will be able to enjoy and maybe it will spark some interest for the other kids too!

I can’t wait for this upcoming trip!  I may add to this through the next few weeks as I continue my research of the area.
