7 Things about me:
1. I love to travel. I wish that I could travel all the time, but due to money constraints, we don’t travel nearly as much as I want to.
2. I would rather be on the beach than anywhere else. When I’m on the beach, it seems that all stresses melt away and I feel so much better. All of my favorite childhood memories are when we went on trips to the beach. I love watching the waves from the ocean roll in and I could watch them for hours.
3. I’m more of a cat person, but my favorite breed of dog is a German Shepherd. I want a German Shepherd but our house isn’t large enough for a big dog.
4. I have always loved to read, but don’t get as much of a chance to read these days. Growing up, I always had my nose in a book. Every spare minute I could find, I would be reading.
5. I’ve always wanted to learn to fly a plane or helicopter. My grandfather was a pilot and a flight instructor. I never got the chance to take flight lessons, but I took the ground course at school in JROTC. I hope to one day learn how to fly.
6. I’m obsessed with the weather. Even though bad weather often makes me nervous, I spend a number of hours a week learning more about the weather. When I was a child, I either wanted to be a veterinarian or a meteorologist. I take as many free classes on weather as I can, and am a weather spotter for the National Weather Service.
7. When I was a teenager I was so obsessed with Star Trek that I ran a website devoted to it and I taught myself HTML and everything I needed to build a website from scratch. Running a website is a lot easier today than it was back then.
